Global Health Workforce statistics database

The World Health Workforce Statistics database includes processed extracts from national reports available on the NHWA data platform. Complementing these national reports, additional sources such as the National Census, Labor Force Surveys, and key national and regional administrative sources are also utilized. Due to the diverse data sources, significant variability persists among countries regarding the coverage, frequency, quality, and comprehensiveness of the original data. Health workforce occupations are classified according to the latest version of the International Standard Classification of Occupations (ISCO-08).
